Heartbreak House: A Fantasia in the Russian Manner on English Themes is Shaw's homage to the works of Anton Chekhov.

Ellie Dunn is invited to one of Hesione Hushabye’s infamous dinner parties, to be held at the house of her father, the eccentric Captain Shotover. 

In the course of one day each character is revealed, hearts are broken, and lives are altered in this dark comedy. 

Roger Gans returns to direct his third Shaw play for Classics Theater of Rochester.

Classics Theater of Rochester is a non-profit community theater group in its 11th Season at MuCCC. Heartbreak House will be the tenth different Shaw play produced in the past twelve years. 

Classics Theater is educational, inclusive and collaborative with the goal of bringing great works of dramatic literature to the Rochester stage.

Cast List Open Auditions will be held in April, 2024.
