Three couples gather on the back deck of a very modest suburban home for a mid-summer barbecue where the hosts, Mike and Deb, struggle with feelings of inadequacy about their home decor, their clothes, their careers, their culinary skills, and pretty much everything else. When a world-wide cataclysm strikes, though, the rules of bourgeois success quickly give way to the law of the jungle. In this rollicking comedy it’s Everyone Loves Raymond meets The Walking Dead, as playwright Lyle forces us to wonder whether we all have what it takes to survive in a world that seems increasingly doomed.
