With the postponement of "Placebo," that means that Out of Pocket's 12th season has now come to an end. Despite this abrupt finale, this was a season to remember, marked with artistic adventurousness and memorable storytelling. We started with our contribution to the Rochester Fringe Festival, the thought-provoking and heartbreaking "Charlie and the Siberian Monkey Goddess" by Don Nigro. We followed that up with one of the most popular plays on the regional theatre circuit in recent years, Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's wild and now-shockingly-relevant comedy about planet-wide catastrophe, "Boom." We concluded with the warmhearted laughter provided us by Paul Osborn's "Mornings at Seven." Along the way we continued to forge community partnerships, raising money for both the Parkinson's Foundation and St. Mark's and St. John's Urban Gardens Initiative. We also took our act on the road, providing mystery-themed entertainment for Flaherty Salmin CPAs Annual Xmas Party at Brooklea Country Club. Finally, we participated once again in the ROCtoberfest 5K. We want to thank all of the local theatre artists who gave of their time and talent to be a part of "theatre with a purpose." We also can't express enough our gratitude to our audiences and donors for having so much faith in Out of Pocket and its mission. We will be announcing our 13th season very soon, and it promises to be stupendous! Watch this space!!
