Dances at MuCCC: Contemporary Dance Known for its experimental delights, the Multi-use Community Cultural Center premieres a special Fringe version of Dances at MuCCC, a collection of local performance talent and creativity. For the first time, this annual dance festival appears at Fringe, showcasing a curated collection of its best summer dance performances. This past June, MuCCC presented Moving Margins to the Center. Co-directed by Donna Davenport and Nanako Horikawa Mandrino; logo by Jimmy Scamacca.

Lunatics Lounge, Live Journey into the absurd with a live performance from humorist Taylor Terrance, columnist behind (585) magazine’s "Lunatic's Lounge" and performer from Rochester's Listen To Your Mother. Terrance brings observations of folly and family to the stage, with stories of snarky family pets, a rogue fireplace that sabotages Christmas, and the time her brother stripped at a wedding in front of the dismayed family matriarch.

Goddess Out of Exile Goddess Out of Exile is an interdisciplinary performance piece uniting poetry, spoken word, song, and belly dance to present female as goddess. It explores the history of female lineage and blood memory as creator of retold history. Written and performed by Sharon Rula Backos, and joined by her daughter, Dylaina Alexandria Young, this two-person collaboration is a search for creation itself, into the new paradigm of woman as creator.

F0REIGNERS Two plays are set in Chapel Hill, NC. The first, ANOTHER SUNDAY, presents the life of three gay men, sharing an apartment and searching for love in all the wrong places. The second play, FINALLY HOME, follows a transplanted woman from Rochester in her search for a new home. Married to a successful executive, she left him for a woman and moved into the Park Avenue area—a wonderful, miraculously rejuvenating place.

Adele in Berlin Adele in Berlin tells the story of Adele, a young German woman captured in 1945 by the Red Army, who has returned to her home city of Berlin. She tries to make a new start with Tony, the soldier who unwittingly rescued her from the Russian camp when she stowed away on his truck. But a shadow from the past with an agenda and a gun stands in her way.

Ghost Story The play begins when Lisa, a breast cancer sufferer, visits Meryl, a healer who believes in the curative power of positive thought. Over time, lines are crossed, and Lisa and Meryl are caught in a power struggle that raises the question: Who is the healer and who is the healed? However, as time folds back on itself, they both discover that the world is full of ghosts. Directed by Rachel Solomon, this poignant one-act play features Kimberly Day, Lauren MacDonough, and Stephanie Roosa.
