Meet three women on their American journey of discovery. Odessa Watson needs to get home, but her broken down car is stopping her. Rachel, a successful lawyer, clashes with the centuries old Indian mores. And Janice just can't stop talking.

A hard-charging lawyer from New England struggles with demands made by her Indian heritage while forever fighting the perception that all dark-skinned people with foreign accents are terrorists, a late forty-something African-American woman just wants to go home to the South, but instead gets caught up in what she perceives is racially-based con game at a local garage (a tale told in the tradition of Ulysses); and a 23 year-old girl from Taiwan (and recent American citizen) happily imagines how her life will turn out, but is stymied on how to go after what she wants, as she contemplates her own experiences with racial injustice.

Join us on these three inward journeys that examine racial immigration and integration and the struggles of the new American woman.

Blue Ink Productions is dedicated to promoting women in leadership roles in every aspect of theatre production. We believe that the pace at which women have equal roles in theatre is not fast enough. So, we pledge to support, provide and encourage women in theatre leadership.

To accelerate this, we will produce plays and play readings by women playwrights, provide lead roles for women, and offer directing opportunities for women. We will offer women opportunities in all aspects of theatre development, production, and promotion. We will ensure that every production reflects these values. In short, women will lead in every aspect of this company.
